In years 3/4 we've been very busy. We've have investigated Light and Shadow, before going onto Electricity in Science. Taking advantage of the fine early autumn sunshine, we drew round our shadows and observed how they changed over the period of a school day.

During the Autumn term we prepared ourselves for a visit to Bristol Art Gallery and Museum. We looked at different paintings and prints, and learnt how to look and appreciate artwork. We had a fantastic trip and were also pleasantly surprised by the wonderous things that the museum had to offer!

The picture above shows us getting messy! We used powder paint mixed with washing up liquid to create an oil paint effect, wax crayons, chalks, pastels and water colours to try and recreate the art that we had seen.

We've been very privileged to have secondary school students from Greendown Community School come and share their expertise in P.E. and Dance activities.
As part of their course, they need to plan and present the younger children with challenging, but appropriate activities, under the supervision of their tutor and our teachers!
